Parents Forever Parenting Classes (4 hour court referred class) Children with divorced parents don't have to come from "broken homes." Parents can learn how to move beyond the "divide and conquer" divorce mentality to a new concept of "divide and multiply." When this happens parents and children can begin to heal, accept the changes in their relationships, and create a new family structure that will support the children into the future. Each Parents Forever class teaches: How to Reduce the Impact of Divorce on Children Specific tools parents can implement to protect their children from the trauma of divorce Positive Co-Parenting Children benefit in many ways when parents focus on being cooperative co-parents rather than angry ex-spouses. During and after divorce, most parents need new tools and strategies for working together to put children first. Divorce Support Groups Parenting Through Divorce Support Groups- 6 week Therapeutic Support Group combined with Parenting Education Parents experiencing the disruption of divorce often have trouble adjusting, caring for themselves, and caring for their children during the difficult transition period. Parents are stressed and grieving, and so are their children. Emotional Support and Parenting Education can be key factors in a healthy recovery for the entire family. This support group is combined with research based curriculum to help parents make healthy adjustments to their new life while supporting their parenting skills through education.
